MPower holds Welcome Forum for its New Partners
September 26, 2017
MPower conducted the year’s second “Partners Welcome Forum” at the Meralco Center, Pasig City on September 26, 2017. The local retail electricity supplier initiated the forum to welcome and thank their newly-signed and newly-switched customers and introduce them to the wide array of products, services, process and programs that MPower has to offer. The event also oriented the new partners on what they can expect from MPower, as their retailer of choice and provided them updates on the competitive energy market.

The forum started with a brief background and history of the Competitive Retail Electricity Market (CREM) discussed by Strategic Account Manager Christopher Yap for the partners’ deeper appreciation. MPower’s Energy Planning Officer Ramon Avedillo discussed the 2018 Energy Supply-Demand outlook for Luzon, while MPower’s Regulatory Officer, Atty. Rommel Yap gave a rundown on the latest in the regulatory arena.

The second half of the forum focused on the RES billing process and timeline and how these differ from the newly switched customers’ billing experience when they were still being served by the distribution utility, Meralco. MPower Strategic Account Manager Glaiza Lampa gave an overview of the value-added services, events and programs that the customers can look forward to and avail of as part of the MPower family. MPower Head Jobert Almazora closed the forum.

27 representatives coming from 10 Partner Companies attended the forum.
