Last December 8, 2018, a total of 86 volunteers from 14 MPower partner companies geared up for the 4
th CommuniTrees: A Partners’ Community Tree Planting Activity at First Philippine Industrial Park (FPIP) 3, Sto. Tomas, Batangas. Volunteers got their hands dirty and planted 600 seedlings along the main roads of the soon to be opened FPIP 3 compound.
The day started with a warm greeting from host, Cris Aquino-Yap, one of MPower’s Strategic Account Managers, while SAVP and Head of Retail Sales, Emmanuel V. de Ramos, gave the welcome remarks. “It’s very heartwarming to see the overwhelming support from loyal partners who have been doing this worthy cause since its implementation in 2015. In fact, this activity has become a family affair. Thank you for participating and for setting a good example to your children,” said Emman de Ramos during his opening speech. To commemorate this activity in behalf of its partners, MPower mounted a dedicatory marker along the road, with Mt. Makiling as picturesque background.
To communicate their environmental conservation advocacy and raise awareness about the tree planting event, volunteers were also encouraged to post photos using the official hashtag #2018CommuniTrees in their social media accounts. Below are the 5 best photos from the event:
