Partners for six years and counting, The Embassy of the United States of America to the Philippines (U.S. Embassy) renewed again its partnership with MPower through a signing ceremony held last October 15, 2019 at the Lopez Bldg., Meralco Center, Pasig City. The competitive price, supply reliability and unparalleled industry expertise contributed to the extension.
Representing the United States government in the Philippines since 1946, the U.S. Embassy assists in promoting consular, diplomatic, economic, and administrative affairs between the Philippines and the United States. It carries out these functions to advance U.S. foreign policies and goals, and aid in relation to agriculture, commerce, and defense.
Before the signing ceremony, the MPower team took the representatives of the U.S. Embassy to the Meralco Museum for a tour of Meralco’s history while riding the tranvias. They were treated to a show of Meralco’s rich history since its founding in 1903 up to the present day, highlighting the company’s initiatives with regards to renewable energy and sustainability strategies.
Sealing the partnership are, from left to right, MPower Strategic Account Manager Ma. Cristina Yap, SAVP and MPower Retail Sales Head Emmanuel De Ramos, SVP and MPower Head Roberto Almazora, and U.S. Embassy Senior Facility Managers Perry Groves and Thomas Luce.
